Location: Exeter, NH, HYBRID work

Duration: Contract 12 months

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our client seeks a creative and adaptable Sr. PM supporting high-impact, cross-organizational projects, in addition to various enterprise systems projects within the organization. The Sr PM drives transformation initiatives critical to the Finance team supporting products and programs. Working with a large variety of stakeholders, managing several concurrent projects, navigating ambiguous challenges and partnering successfully managing multiple initiatives within challenging deadlines.

We're seeking a strong technical leader with an ability to get things accomplished with little supervision. On a regular basis, you'll liaise with our client's global and domestic finance teams plus other disciplines to deliver modern solutions. Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates with Finance team stakeholders, defining requirements of each project, developing a project plan, and managing progress against important milestones across multiple workstreams.
  • Engages in early-stage discussions, helping define projects for prioritization and facilitating deeper project planning activities.
  • Providing thought leadership and direction on assigned program to ensure disciplined execution and continuous improvement of Program and Project Management practices.
  • Has accountability for the success of crucial, cross-functional projects within a technical program and agreed upon budgets and timelines.
  • Understands and manages key components and deliverables within a project plan
  • Creates and ensures compliance with all relevant PM standards, documents, policies, and best practices.
  • Facilitates and owns core development lifecycle routines 
  • Drives project communications and manages escalation of scope change requests for review.
  • Manages risks, budgets, and dependencies within projects and across departments and technical programs.
  • Acts as the single point of contact for escalations to upper Management- works closely with enterprise leadership to manage escalation messaging.
  • Builds robust working relationships within and outside (vendors, franchises) the organization. 

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Five or more years' experience leading technical programs- roadmap scheduling, business communications and cross-program coordinating
  • Five or more years' experience leading concurrent, complex, cross-functional projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • A background utilizing a range of portfolio, program and project management approaches including traditional and Agile (Lean, Scrum, and Kanban) methodologies
  • A background managing program budgets and reputational and business risks for the organization, IT, and the corporate entity
  • A background working in a franchisor/franchisee company environment is desired
  • Demonstrable expertise in development business requirements, managing programs and projects, resolving issues, mitigating risks, and communicating
  • Having an understanding of enterprise technology infrastructure, app dev & maintenance, system integrations, SOA applications, software testing, and network architecture
  • Knowledge of financial systems landscapes
  • Proficient with project support tools 
  • PMP and/or CSM is desired
  • Solid interpersonal communication skills with a background resolving challenging situations when managing resources
  • Having good verbal and written communication skills to successfully partner with internal and external teams
  • Flexible with a focus on disciplined execution, ensuring quality of deliverables, adhering to standards and continuous improvement of people, process, and tools
  • Gains trust among program/project team and stakeholders
  • Highly detail-oriented, efficient, and organized with an great ability to establish priorities and objectives
  • Demonstrates confidence, ease, and flexibility working in an exceptionally fast-paced, ever-changing, deadline-driven environment
